In 1917 The Ukrainian military Congress took place in Tiflis (the former name of Tbilisi) where the foundation of the Ukrainian Caucasus Regional Council was announced. In 1930-1950 the Ukrainian population number in Georgia was increasing as the result of the specialists involved at the industrial enterprises. In 1990 the Ukrainian population outflow was happening because of the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict.
